Merry Christmas to all my beautiful children in PP2 and their families.

Mrs Westcott and I would like to thank you for all our wonderful gifts and the very beautiful flowers! We were very spoilt! I am busy eating chocolates and very nice they have been. I know Christmas is a time of sharing so I guess I had better leave some for my family. OOOPs nice idea…but I seem to have just eaten the last one!!!!!!!!

Well guess this is it…… my last entry for this year..its been a fun year and I’ m very thankful for the beautiful class I had, children and parents! We were the best!!

I miss you all already!    (and I really mean it!!)

Rehearsals were fun. On the last rehearsal Mrs Thieme said she would watch us and not do any of the moves herself. But she just couldn’t help it. She had to join in.

Not everything went according to plan during rehearsal. Sometimes our stars would fall off and go flying!. Sometimes they would be knocked off by an enthusiastic hand being flung high into the air.

When we sang “Must be Santa” we had to remember what props to hold up. Some of us got a little confused as to what we we were holding. At one point two of the boys  ( no names mentioned!)decided to use their props as swords and start a sword fight.

We had to remember to sing and smile and above all no nose picking!!!!

We did look so cute on the day!!

And we did a fabulous job!!!!!

Here is Mrs Thieme’s version of ‘The night before Christmas!”

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house

There was absolute chaos, just pity the poor mouse.

The stockings were lost and could not be found

Mum swore as she searched around and around.

The children were fighting about not going to bed

One gave his sister a bump on the head,

Granddad was plastered, the baby was sick

The dog was giving the turkey a lick.

When out in the garden we heard a gruff shout

It was a male voice, to be sure, without doubt.

We all rushed to the window as if in a race

We ran over Grandma in all of the haste.

We could not see much, as the rain it fell loud

And the moon was well hidden behind a dark cloud

Then suddenly there in front of our eyes,

Sat a small fat man in a red cloak disguise.

With a beer in his hand and dribble down his jaws

We knew in a jiffy, it must be Santa Claus.

He sat in a puddle all sad and forlorn

His beard had come off and lay on the lawn

He started to say something as he clutched at the fence

But his words slurred together and did not make sense.

Beside him on the grass lay a big sort of sack

It did not look the type to go on Santa’s back.

We watched as he grabbed it but he was too slow

He spewed all his guts into the roses below.

Dad gripped the curtains, this was too much to bear

When he thought of his roses, the work and the care.

He shouted out “Hey you, Can’t you behave?”

Then Santa looked up and gave him a  wave.

He lurched slightly forward, brought himself upright

And began a rendition of  Silent Night.

It was a new version that we had not heard.

But Santa, he seemed to know every rude word.

Mum clapped her hands over her ears with dismay

Grandma was giggling and chuckling away.

Then Santa stopped to have a swig of his beer

And started to call out the names of all his reindeer.

From out of the darkness, some footsteps were heard

Then silently and with hardly  a word

Two policemen arrived and without a sound

They soon had Santa pinned to the ground.

So off he was carted straight to the cells

Now merrily singing Jingle Bells

And he gave a big burp as he stumbled out of sight

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!

This last week we have been discussing our favourite events of the year. Some of us can only remember last week but Mrs Thieme said that was ok.!!~!!

This year I have enjoyed……..

making the marshmallows. We used eggs and sugar and patty pans. They tasted yummy and they didn’t taste like meringues. Lucie

I liked it when Mitchel’s shoe went on the roof. It was funny. Mrs Thieme got it down by throwing a ball. William

playing with my friends. I like playing in the playground. I liked the monkey bars. Aspen.

when Mr Moose came to school. I like playing snakes and ladders with Brodie and Connor. Liam

playing in the playground. I like making the Christmas trees. I liked the excursion. I liked the butterflies. Emma

playing soccer with Mitchel, Cael. William and Danny. Joshua

doing news. I liked showing my Christmas shaker. I liked having my picture taken with Mr Moose! Katie

playing with Lachlan and Liam. I liked showing my rock collection for news. Georgia.

making Christmas trees, the ones what we eat. I like making stuff at the collage table. Mitchel

making Christmas stuff. I liked painting a tree. I like going on the playground with my friends Saskia, Katie and Olivia. Gracie

making reindeer horns and I like going in the sun.I liked it when we cooked the bread, It was yummy. Lillian

the silkworms. They are soft and silky. I liked when we cooked pizza. It  tasted delicious. Ilanie

when I brought in my roller skates. I like music. I like singing.I liked singing “reach for the stars’  I’m a good singer. I can easily go loud. Emily

We were so excited today when Tiana brought her pony in for news. His name is Fizz! We got to stroke him and brush him. It was just so exciting…..thanks to Tiana, her mum and her Grand dad!!!

We had a lot of fun with our sports races today. The weather was really warm and all of the races involved water!!! First we had a relay race balancing a water bomb on a spoon. We had to be careful not to drop it!! Another race involved pegging the washing on the line. We had to run to a tub of wet clothes , take one item out, peg it up and run back so the next person could go!! At first William, Joshua and Mitchel did not want to take part! Pegging up washing was just not their thing!

But then Mrs Thieme told us that the pegging up of the washing was really just a small part of the race. what was needed was the speed, the fast legs to get to the washing line.

On hearing this, those 3 boys decided to join in!!!!!!!!!     

Mrs Thieme thought it was funny how some were so good at pegging, and others did not really know what a peg was!!!!!!!!!!  

Out in the playground Georgia came up to Mrs Thieme and said “look at my arm. Lachlan hurt me!’

Mrs Thieme asked her how it had happened!

“Well he was talking too much and it made me not concentrate on where I was going!”

I have been really good because I…………………..

Help mum do the dishes and I tidy up the games room because the boys mess it up.Lillian

I pack the dishwasher with my sister. Ilanie

I help mum clean the house on Sundays.Jazmine

I do lots of jobs for my sister like I get her stuff for her, like her clothes and her socks and her trainers. Aspen

I can do the washing for dad because he is asleep. Lucie

I help adults  skate and help put the Christmas tree up and clean the floor cool and I help wash the dishes. Tiana

I pick up the blocks in the block corner. Joshua

I help my mum with the Christmas tree. Cael

I have been very good at school. I have not been naughty. Jacob

I help my mum get the chocolate out because  it is too high. Braedon

I help bring Katie to the teacher because she got hurt a long long time ago. Emma

I have been nice to my baby brothers. Saskia

I didn’t be naughty. I be very careful. Emily

I share my toys with my friends. Connor

I do the dishes and I do chores. Isabella

I clean my room every day. Zane

I have never hit my sister. I am always good to my mum.I take the dishes out of the washing machine. Danny
